Volunteering is not only wearing a jacket or writing your name on a program list. The true sign of a volunteer is the heart: mercy, manners, sincerity, responsibility, punctuality and softness toward those in need.
The Mewati community has a long tradition of service. Someone carries ration bags, someone gives water, someone cleans a mosque, someone teaches children, someone guides a patient and someone simply listens with kindness.
Small service should never be underestimated. A little time, a useful contact, a school lesson, a ride to the hospital or a respectful word can change someone’s day.
The reward of service grows when it is done quietly, sincerely and consistently.
